Nola Shelton is a Senior Graphic Designer—specializing in brand development, publication layout, user interface design, and Vyond animations.
Her highly regarded visual design solutions have been utilized by a number of respected organizations: American Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Foundation, Fairfax County Public Schools, Howard University, and the Virginia State Reading Association, to name a few. Prior to accepting a position with the EFI, Nola was the art director for MasteryWorks, Inc. for 10 years where she was central in developing and establishing the visual brand and all related assets and marketing collateral, before accepting a position as a Graphic Designer with Lee Hecht Harrison where she was employed for over 5 years. Her work in visual story telling has helped advance the mission and goals for both companies relating directly to career development, leadership and training.
Most recently, Nola did contract work for a diversity of thinktanks and nonprofits in the DC metropolitan: Human Trafficking Legal Center, S&P Global, and the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy where she was responsible for designing a variety of print and web-based material such as interactive guides, marketing templates, slide presentations, and social media campaigns.
Nola received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising Design and Illustration from the Columbus College of Art & Design, Columbus, Ohio; UX Design Certificate from General Assembly, Washington, DC; Web Development Certificate from EEI Communications, Alexandria, Virginia; and training in Animation and Multimedia at Prince Georges Community College, Largo, Maryland.
