Tensions choke US-China energy co-operation, but global net-zero initiatives have to engage China

The Energy Futures Initiative’s President and CEO Ernest Moniz discussed whether direct cooperation between the United States and China on climate goals would be necessary as political tensions between the countries rise. He underscored that it would be nice, but not necessary, as long as each could still separately work on achieving their climate goals.
